Some confusion surrounds the Messiah figure of 1 Enoch, particularly in 1 Enoch 71:14 when this figure's identity is revealed. This teaching argues in favor of the plain reading of 1 Enoch 71:14 that identifies the patriarch Enoch as this figure.
Zach Bauer is wrong about 1 Enoch 71:14 and the “Son of Man”
In defense of his view that the Book of Enoch is "inspired Scripture," Zach Bauer claims that the patriarch Enoch is NOT identified as the Son of Man in 1 Enoch 71:14. He says that among "scholars worldwide," nobody says that the Book of Enoch identifies Enoch as a Messiah figure. In this video, I show how Zach's claim is demonstrably false and that scholars who study the Book of Enoch DO say precisely that.
